Our team recently worked closely with a major meter supplier to the utilities industry on a labelling solution designed to help with the much heralded roll out of energy Smart Meters in the months and years ahead (it is expected that every home in the UK will have a Smart Meter within the next 10 years)
The developement of our labelling system was an integral part of the whole Smart Meter manufacturing process.
By designing bespoke shaped labels using high performance durable materials and combining this with a “state of the art” Sato GTE 424 600dpi printer and Bartender software we were able to provide our customer with a high quality on demand variable data label printing solution that enabled them to switch from the purchase of expensive and inflexible screen printed labels.
As well as significantly driving down costs for the whole ID labelling process this new solution adds significant value and flexibility to the manufacturing process, supporting the production of both short run and test-prototype units as well as much larger production volumes.
