We have recently introduced two unique Security enhanced thermal transfer ribbons that allow our customers to use a cost effective and easy to use brand protection solution that can help combat counterfeiting.
Available as two different ribbon grades, either UV Invisible or Firefly, they work as follows:
UV Invisible
This is an invisible ribbon that when printed cannot be seen by the naked eye but will flare with bright colourful fluorescence under a ultraviolet light source.
This UV Invisible print image will therefore appear when illuminated ultravioletly thus allowing the product to be verified as being genuine and not a “grey market counterfeit copy”.
Firefly
This is a black ribbon that when printed looks to the naked eye to be just a standard black thermal transfer print, however will blaze brightly when illuminated under a ultraviolet light source.
Both our UV Invisible and Firefly thermal transfer ribbons are available in outside and inside wound formats for use on most popular types of printer, including Zebra, Datamax, Sato, Intermec, Citizen and Printronix.
The UV Invisible and Firefly ribbons are currently available in one standard stock size, 110mm x 300m and can normally be shipped within 5 – 7 working days.
