We have recently installed a Printronix T5308 300dpi printer with a built in barcode verifier (ODV) and Labelmate CAT 2 external label rewind unit into one of the UK’s largest food suppliers.
The Printronix T5308 printer and verifier are required so each traded unit barcode label can be scanned and verified to meet the strict barcode verification of our clients main customers including Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys.
Failure to meet these barcode verification requirements could result in costly fines and potential loss of business.
The built in verifier automatically scans and verifies the barcode while it is being printed and if the barcode does not meet the required standard the printer will stop, enabling corrective action to be taken.
